Greetings from Earth

Good afternoon and thank you for allowing me to join you. I look forward to reading stimulating posts and other things. I have a particular interest in developmental biology and adaptation.

They say I should know what hypography means. I think I do, but it doesn't make sense. Still, I'll practice it now.

Re: Greetings from Earth

Hello Surattius,

Welcome to Hypography. I suggest the following thread to catch you up! Enjoy your stay.

A big thanks!

The name "hypography" came to [Tormod] in a flash on [his] way to work one day, and as some of you probably know by now, the term is "a combination of hyperlink and bibliography: a list of references to electronic documents".

[Tormod] figured this word could have the same sort of function as "bibliography" (books and articles) and "discography" (list of musical albums/recordings). An example of a use of a "hypography" would then be a list of links, usually in relation to an article, image or something shich the links would explain.

Cheers.

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.
