Red face Just another new person here...

...who stumbled upon these forums during her search to find more ways to spend her excessive amount of free time this summer.

My name is Katherine Doll, 19 years of age, and I hail from Willmar, MN. I discovered these forums through google search to find some discussion boards to get involved with over this summer. It appears that there is an active community here, so I am excited to be a part of it.

Right now I am currently a student of sophomore status at the University of Minnesota with a major in Microbiology. Eventually I hope to attend graduate school in a Ph. D microbiology/immunology program, or perhaps an epidemology program in some school of public health. Basically, my main "academic" interest is microbiology.

Besides microbiology, I am interested in music of all forms except country (must admit I love "I Hope You Dance" by Leann Womack, however)... I love classical soundtracks from movies, indie rock groups, music my parents loved and unknowlingly conditioned me to do so as well such as Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, ABBA, ect.
I also need to admit that I have been known to ccassionally enjoy a dirty pop song overdone with tech beats.

Sometimes when I have the time I like to indulge in underappreciated science fiction/fantasy books. As of late, this has been the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series by George R.R. Martin, and yes I will devote the whole day of July 21st to HP7.

I absolutely love to watch movies, usually of the chick flick category or drama. Any movie that makes me cry is one I buy. Of course I do watch more than just dramas and chick flicks. I watch comedies.
Besides movies I love some tv shows such as the Office, House MD, South Park, and Amazing Race. I also do pull out my season discs of Gilmore Girls, and the O.C. when I feel in the mood of some witt from Loreli Gilmore or Seth Conen.

So now you know more about me than some of my friends.
You should feel special.
