Vector5 is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi Everyone from Vector5

I've been in toastmasters for four years, recently turned 50, and have started getting back in shape. For a while, because of where I live in the midwest, I was just drifting. I feel that this is a worthwhile forum and that time spent on it is well spent time.
I'll answer any e-mails. There are still discoveries to be made and I'm fascinated by them all.

Hi Vector5!

It's never too late to get back in shape. When I was 48 I weighed 220 and couldn't jog more than a few hundred feet. I decided to "get back in shape". Now I'm 52, jogging between 20 - 25 miles per week at a 10 min/mile pace, and weigh 180.

I feel like I've rolled back the clock a good 10 or 15 years.

whoa, whoa, let's consider this for a bit.... from SR perspective

So according to special relativity, the time difference between two objects that start at the similar frame of reference, and one starts moving away at velocity v, is

\Delta t'=\gamma \Delta t=\frac{\Delta t}{\sqrt{1-v^2/c^2}}

So

v = 6 mph = 2.68224 m/s
say you ran 30 miles per week, thats 5 hours at 6 mph, say even every week for the past 4 years
that equates the time you spent running to 3,744,000 seconds

plugith into equation:

\frac{3744000}{\sqrt{1-2.68224^2/299792458^2}}

just ran it in bc

Code:
bc
scale=30
3744000/sqrt(1-2.68224^2/299792458^2)
3744000.000000000149851021639468037997

outcome is that you have gained .000000000150 seconds congrats!

Thats 150 picoseconds (assuming math is correct ofcourse)

Vector, welcome to hypography, the only place you know where junk like the above, is an every day occurence (in a good way)

the time you have gained back is
