I was fascinated by the Alternative Theories discussion.

I was disappointed in Moontonman's big joke. Instead of being honest and straightforward he tried to put a ridiculous spin on the discussion. All it did was cause me to bypass anything he had to say further on.

I'm a firm believer that certain people can experience very unusual things.. Perhaps one can't prove they experience these things..a reader has to place some faith that the writer is honest... not like Moontonman.

Since I had one brief OOB experience, I can't help but think they are real.
My daughter's friend has them often and is terrified of them.

This Forum is exceptional. Thanks for providing it.

Moon is actually a funny guy, and he knows a lot, i understand with frustration that you are having, but, he does know what he's talking about. Alternative Theories is as good of a place to screw around, as the Theology section, i say, enjoy life, and as long as you fess up to the joke, and don't hurt anyone in the process (physically or mentally) you should be ok. Though people may stop taking you seriously.

I agree that some people experience very unusual things, i experience them fairly often, especially when model-looking girl is walking straight for me smiling, stops, looks me straight in the eyes, says hi and talk for a while....

I've been investigating some OOBEs and people who claim to have them. I can't say that i've never had those feelings before, but i can say that after a long consideration, a theory has formed. Most OOBEs happen in the early hours of the morning, when the brain wave catches up and goes into the awoken state, while the body has still not come out of the self-protecting REM, thus creating a mind that is fully aware with a body that can not do anything about it, which, in early hours of the morning is amplified by the fact that your mind is more prone to hallucinations (about 2-4am) and influences. And you may still be in a dream-like state where visualizations have not yet dissapeared (caused by random firing of the brain). Lastly all of that gets intensified by adrenaline that is released into the body when you find yourself in this motionless state, panics sets in and OOBE is recorded and remembered....

Anyhow, that's my take on most, i'd like to hear your OOBE stories, info is always interesting.
