DMT saints and healing

The exciting cause of inspiration and ecstasy has been sourced to this molecule supposedly generated in the pineal gland. It would explain much about revelations/hallucinations by adepts revered as saints. Shamans and pseudo Gurus rely heavily on the use of traditional plants to excite its production in human neural system. Tomes have been written about this, particularly regarding the dangers inherent in its use. What is particularly of interest to me is that surely many of us actively produce this so-called god gene without having to resort to artificial ingredients. Intuition and creativity demonstrated by our geniuses could be thanks to this blessed molecule. If this proposition of mine is reasonable, then I ponder what facilitates it production? Meditation and some yogic techniques have proved successful. I feel just plain altruism would also be succesful. Along the way, could it also be possible that stem cells are also naturally produced effecting miraculous healings by DMT generated through sheer faith?

I don't understand what your proposition is. Can you give us some sources which can shed some light on what you are talking about?

Oh, and welcome to Hypography!

Re: DMT saints and healing

I would love to have some learned discussion to help gain some strands of understanding of the paranormal in the light of modern discoveries in neuro-biology.

(Just as Govt research is extremely secretive on subjects such as biological/chemical weaponry and nuclear technology, much is undisclosed on this subject. Trusting in God and Govt will end such discussions!)

I will toss up some metaphorical 'fractals' for synthesis to aid in comprehension of the BIG picture. I look first for irrefutable absolutes by modern scientific certitudes. The following are only a few examples amongst an infite number of facts, some only slightly comprehensible, and the majority still quite incomprehensible! These small bricks are seemingly different, unrelated and random, but are possibly identical fractals comprising the logos of the Whole. It requires a small leap of imagination to Zen type reflections like the sound of one hand clapping, or the esoterics of ascribing sound to different colours and feelings. Different scientific disciplines demystify specific branches, but an ability to synthesise them could actually reveal that the Sum is larger than its parts and help demystify the Whole!

1. The Octave in scaling sound.
2. The 'golden mean' and fibonacci sequences in nature.
3. Universal values attached to altruism.
4. Stem cells for organ regeneration.
5. Subjective experience of healings through prayer and faith.
6. Cabon dating and radio-active extinction of energy in elements.
7. Speed of light as the limit for elecro-magnetic energy transmission.
8. Non-locality of quantum cause and effect.
9. Laws of probability disproving syncronicity.
10. David Bohm's experimental proof of the implicate and explicate, and reversibility.
11. Murphy's law ??...etc.

I could go on, but let me state the heart of my search before I confuse myself along with who ever cares to ponder over this mail.

(At the ouset let me state quite categorically, that except for an addiction to nicotine, I have never tried any 'drug''!)

Am extremely excited by the spiritual and I dare say subjective insights into what is glibly considered 'supernatural' by the use of hallucigens, particularly DMT. This indeed is the Fractal which is my focus. It is no secret that mystics and founders of the great religions/cults, have relied heavily on its influence with such mind-bending stuff being available in plant life. And so this raises a host of more questions I hope you have the patience to read while I think aloud!

Is the DMT molecule which appears to excite a vision of everything 'unworldly' and commands egoless bliss, a genetic heritage/evolution to reach spiritual unknowns? Do artist, musicians, philosophers, researchers etc have some genetic difference from the average survivor? Is the influence of this gene responsible for keeping our biological state in so-called good health when disturbed or diseased? Can the apparent happiness and peace (even wisdom) enjoyed by some, be due to a contant production and flow of this 'spirit gene' in the human body? Presuming DMT can be naturally produced within the human body, are there techniques to increase its mobility? Can the production of healing stem cells in the body be attributed to the influence of DMT as a trigger? Apart from Yoga and other eastern mystical techniques (breathing, chanting etc), does altruism in thought and deed and indeed prayer, 'swing in' this gene to effect miraculous healing and bliss?

All these and more are many unanswered questions for the agnostic in me.
