I found this site by searching for information on Terra Preta soils and was impressed with the chats and links about this subject. For now I am only interested in Terra Preta soils but it looks like this is a great website for reseaching anything!

I'm curious... what is the general perception of your students on this topic? How did it come up? Hmmm... Maybe you should post that in the thread itself.

I teach math and this did not come up in any class but I am doing research on my own. I recently finished Jarad Diamond book "Collapse" and it inspired me to do something about our future enviornment (since I have children). We all need to do something and since I am moving to an agricultural area in the near future I thought this might be something I can do.
