| Quiet Lounge Rules / How to join
Sometimes the heated debate in the forums can be off-putting. Some topics require more contemplation. Some issues are worth a more in-depth exploration and require longer posts and longer replies. Some topics are simply good to discuss without any real direction at all.
This is the forum for that kind of discussions.
There are some rules which must be observed for this to work:
1) This forum is not open for everyone. To join, you must actively request to join the "Lounge Members" group. You do this by going to your User CP (in the navigation bar, above) and click on "Group Memberships" (under "Miscellaneous").
2) A minimum post count of 25 is required to join. We might make exceptions but in general, this forum is aimed at users who have already taken part in the main discussions.
3) No flames, rants, silly replies. No hit-and-run posts. Please accept that the primary point of this forum is to let some of our members discuss things in a more relaxed tempo.
4) The lounge can be viewed by everyone. This is not a secret forum. So to any who post here - your discussion is still viewable.
If we think that a user is misbehaving in this forum, we will simply revoke membership from the Lounge. Behaviour which is in violation with the general site FAQ might lead to banning, but let's hope it never comes to that.
