poems of the topic love and pain...

poems based on love and the lost of it... everyone needs a place like this... enjoy everyone...

"on the ride again"

your like a tsunami,
starting out that of a wake
and swallow your victims
when you get to the shallow ends.
life comes and goes
till the darkness crows,
engulfing the light of hope.

your sad yet again,
nothing i can do now...
i wait and watch as your sorrows grow and grow,
till that final moment in which they implode.
implode like that of the stars to the blackholes...
implode taking me for a ride yet again.

i feel nausiated as i spin round in your sorrows.
i could leave,
and escape this negative weight...
but i dont... instead i embrace it.
holding you... closer and closer...
till you and i are one... unity again...
now you know those feelings again...
the ones that got you here to begin with...
i show you as you show me,
the lights of total oblivion...

Once I knew thee:

Before seas billowing tide,
ere the snows fell below.
When no life went creeping,
whilst earth's wind did blow.

I knew you back then,
your image revealed across time.
Somehow my memory recalls,
your beauty, filling my mind.

And now, you've come back,
singing that old refrain.
I knew you back then,
and now, I know thee once again.

Sparrow:

I saw a little sparrow,
fall from her tree nest.
With her tiny weak claws,
she could not hold fast.

Helpless there she lay,
unable to fly as yet.
When from across the way,
came neighbors cat, his pet.

I rose from my lawnchair,
and ran to chase him away.
For fear Felix would claim,
and end the sparrows day.

Reaching down I gently,
placed sparrow in my hand.
Putting her back in the nest,
was my intended plan.

To this day I know not,
how that sparrow did fair.
When peeking in next day,
I found sparrow not there.

Every time I see that tree,
I think about that sparrow.
Did she live to learn to fly,
and survive to see the marrow?

You are the first person I loved because of
who you are
what you are
as you

Not my perception of you
Nor how you make me feel
Although those feelings resonate too
for you

Even if you are forever absent from my future
My existence is no longer hollow
Because
of you

Is better to have loved, than to have been loved.

To be loved by another,
fills the heart with song.
But no greater than when,
love for another is strong.

Re: poems of the topic love and pain...

The thrill:

She gazed longling my way,
brown eyes a flashing.
The heat ran up my neck,
I'm feeling quite smashing.

The eyes of a young lady,
turn my sinew to mush.
The power in those eyes,
I think I'm gonna blush.

Nothing like that smile,
will ever make me feel,
so fuzzy and warm,
it's really quite the deal.

When she smiles at me...............
