Does anybody know why we are thrown away during elictric shock?
Why we die?
Whether Lightning strike and elictric shock are alike?

Re: Electric shock

Uhm, why's this in Astronomy and Cosmology?

It's a physiological matter. The current causes electrolysis and hence burns. If it's AC or pulsed it also causes strong nervous stimulation, it can result in dangerous ventricular fibrillation.

The electric current traveling through our bodies causes our muscles to contract. This reaction will cause involuntary musclar reactions.

These involuntary musclar reactions can cause cardiac arrest, (heart failure). Our heart is after all a large muscle.

Yes; electric current whether lighting or from houshold current are basically the same thing. The flow of electrons from a potential to a place which lacks resulting in a balance.

BTW, welcome to Hypography Dinesh_college...........enjoy the discourse.

I agree Qfwfq, this thread should be moved to the physics or medical forums.
