Were there legal and medical problems with Seroquel?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seroquel

From what I saw on T.V. law suits are being filed against Seroquel.. I don't know if there were any medical problems or not. I couldn't find much information on the web.

I think from what I read, it increases the risk of diabetes.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

No idea, but i will say that if so, it's yet another reason for people to lay off the chemicals.

Re: Were there legal and medical problems with Seroquel?

When a patient is diagnosed with diabetes, its often a very hard time for them and is often easier to pass the blame. FDA and international approval on the product is more than enough to allow full medical usage of a product if its proven to help in a case, i believe if it was causing problems, its FDA approval would probs bail it out as far as sueing goes. being ill, especially in cases of depression and mental instability can allow the immunity system to not work at its full potential, so my bet is that its all a coincidence. by this i mean that the diseases that this drug treats, probably cripples organs and immunity stopping diabetes. (sorry for the muggy response its 7 am and i havent slept yet : )
