Re: I need tips for getting in shape!

Wow, you both have different idea. I guess I'll mix them up. Fish liver capsuls? Can i get those at an American Wal*Mart? Thanks for the thigh excersize! I can't wait to try it!
I mostly drink Diet Pepsi and Diet Ginger Ale, but no other sodas. I liek Welches and flavoured water. Thanks for all your help!
I've been told breakfast is the bets meal, and I guess I'll go with that.. I'm not a huge junk food eater though.... Are burritos alright? YAY! I can still have my steak! Does cooking it matter? I always eat it medium rare.

Re: I need tips for getting in shape!

When I was training for my black belt test, I stuck with hamburgers and beer. Those, mixed with protien shakes following every workout did the trick.

However, Tormod's a runner, and a smart one at that. His tips are the ones that are good for you to implement for the long haul. Remember, working out tears down your muscles and forces them to rebuild. Your body uses what you are ingesting as materials in that rebuilding process.

Would you rather build your body out of Doritos or out of lean chicken breast? You can still eat Doritos, how many you eat just depends on how important the training really is to you.

Cheers. :water:

Perhaps I am a little prejudiced, but I would strongly suggest that they be left for the times when you need them.

Ah look! see what I found.

By the way it looks, this is the tip of the 'berg.

The simple math of it all is natural = better. I like the drinks too, but the additives in them put a significant strain on your heart, liver, and other organs.

Re: I need tips for getting in shape!

I used to be highly addicted to them. I collect the cans . But the I narrowed it down to about three a week then one a week... But now I'm a little hyper because I got one yesterday for this morning... Then two of my friends bought one for me so I drank one and now I have one huge one in my possesion and another in my fridge I don't knwo how I'll be able to resist for three weeks!
(And that's my life story)
What would be better for toning my arms, 3 reps of ten with a 30 lb or 3 reps of 20 with a 5 lb?
What about carbonated water?? Like Club Soda and that flavoured stuff? Does that fall into the same category as "Bad For You"?
I eat these little breakfast bite things I get from Schwans for breakfast. They're like, 500 calories for the whole thing.. Should I just stick to two overeasies instead (90 calories appiece).
Hmmm... What else do i have issues with...
What about BBQ sauce? Is that OK?
You guys are probably tired of all my questions by now... Sorry!

Thanks for the article... I enjoy reading them. I do a lot of research on the ingrdients of what I drink, like taurine and all that.
Speaking from someone who has accidentally overdosed on caffien on a number of occations, I agree with caffien being harmful, which is why I like to space my drinks.
RedLine!!! Yikes! They won't even list what is in the drink! Hahahaha!
And I'm sure everyone has heard this before, but I do enjoy the taste. I am aware that there are addictives that are in effect that keep me from turning away from an energy drink, but one of the main reasons I drink them is for the same reason someone may enjoy drinking Apple Juice... I enjoy the taste.

For tone, go with several reps with less weight.
For strength, go with lower reps with lots of weight.

Since you're a girl, I suggest tone, hands down.
