i'll be watching whatever they put on tv. watched some of the snow sports going on in Finland this week & it's getting me warmed up for the olympics action.
one of my roomies was telling me today that just an event ticket can run as much as $1,600!!! 
i think he said the cheapest were around $300, but those gotta be loser sports eh?

not all is lost apparently. the Gallery images i posted in the Lechtenberg thread
are still displaying.

no worries. i have them all and many more that i never published. even if i loose those too, i have them all in my head and can make them on demand.
if some kind of interest bubbles up i can put the drawings in an album on my profile page. (thank you very much for all that space there!

Developing websites is fun, but being a hardcore hand coder means I don't use tools which fix the code for me.
Developing on my Mac also means I know fairly well how things look in Safari, Opera and Firefox. But Internet Explorer is a problem. I have to either boot my Mac into Boot Camp (so that I boot into Windows), or I have to run Windows in Parallells Desktop. The latter is slow and tedious, particularly since I run Vista (my copy of Windows XP has been activated too many times...thanks...

Hypography just got kicked out of Google Adsense - probably the most famous web advertisement program in the world right now.
We've been in it since the early days, and it has helped me finance the running of Hypography since it has covered the costs for our server, software licenses etc.
Adsense ads has some cool properties: They are easy on the eye (at least the text versions), they adapt to your page's content, and the money earned comes straight into my bank account....

I am thinking about how to improve Hypography's design.
No, not the color scheme, logo or typography.
I am thinking about how it is so 100% obviously a vBulletin forum (even in the blog section). There are the boxy boxes, the straight columns and the endless horizontal bars.
Certainly there must be ways to improve it?
vBulletin has a major problem in that it is using a table-based layout. Add to that a rather comprehensive modular template...

Keeping Hypography running is a mastodontic job. I have long since lost track of how many hours I have spent installing things, upgrading, fixing things which are broken by upgrades, finding hacks, helping people and so on.
It takes a lot of time.
In fact, we're in Hypography's 8th year now - if I add up all the hours spent I think I would go crazy.
So why do I do it?
