How much money is enough?

Well I suppose this is considered philosophy. The question at hand is, how much money would you choose to receive if you could receive any amount. The amount you would want to live the rest of your life and support your family, possibly move away and never have another job, so how much is enough?

Re: How much money is enough?

His is do you actually have enough money.

Mine is actually asking an amount that if you were to retire early would you be able to live comfortably off of. I am not really asking can you have enough, but how much is enough for you to live from.

I say $1.. in a split second I am able to double the dollar.. and keep doubling it until such time I have enough money to live from the interest it gains when I save it..

Please explain it to me. How are you instantly doubling that dollar? And why not just ask for enough money to live off the interest without going through the doubling process?

God's servant is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: How much money is enough?

If i had to choose an amount of money i could have i would have to choose somewhere around 3-4 million dollars because thats enough to get yourself a comfortable house and maybe a car of your choice, just enough to live comfortably. I know quite a few people who would choose a large sum around like all the money in the world, this is quite stupid in fact though because once you have all the money then it is worthless, no one else would have any money so everything would only be worth an item, and no one would want to get paid with something that is worthless, and some of you might be saying that you could just somehow "hypothetically" get this money, but all money is, is just a piece of paper with a denotation on it... worthless in itself but worth something with the right amout of specie to make it worth something. I would also not want a large amount of money that comes to the sum of around 10 billion dollars. This is what drives people to madness, killing, even suicide. If you had this amount of money you would have people asking you nonstop for money money money. So if i could have any amount of money it would be around the 3-4 million dollars i stated earlier.
