![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What is Love? Love. Its the magic we all want. But what is it? and why do we feel it? Is it a drug? a combination of bio-chemicals? Love grows, and makes the heart fonder... What is the evolutionary impetus for love? Why is it so strong? I love very few things in this world. And when they die or disappear, I am saddened and cry. That is normal, but I am trying to understand it. If it can be understood. Grandma, my kitty-Cat, and Hypography are some of the few things I love. Any thoughts, scientifically speaking? |

| Ancora Imparo | Re: What is Love? my girlfriend asked me this question - though I do not think I will give the same answer here. As cold hearted as it may sound I think it is a tool for procreation, to help the species continue on. It keeps the man around for longer because in humans it takes longer for the kids to become independant.

Those who stuck with the group survived more often than those who did not. Those with stronger feelings of love were not only more likely to stick with the group, but to assist it. Here we are... all shiney, happy, people. Well... people anyway. ![]() Love is a many tendered thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love. And all the rest of those lyrics from Moulin Rouge. ![]() |

Is love an Endorphin? And did that chemical release evolve in those who favored staying with the Tribe? Love is what makes the World go around. Why do many people cry in response to losing a loved one? Is that a release valve, or the Yang to a Yin? getting all warm and fuzzy, Racoon | |

![]() | Re: What is Love? Love is a word. Thats what it is and always will be. when the word love is processed as bits of information its triggers an individuals mind to remember and searches that persons memory. like a chaotic reaction of electricity it reminds a person of what they think this word means. The word is different for everyone. for example when you first fall in "love" and tell that significant other "i love you" your mind is experience in only unconditional love for family or what u see in the media or the outside world ect. thus the term "puppy love" but the word love remains the same. but u experience this love and then u break up with that person and your memory of love is completely different now because you experienced pain and lack of "love" and all sorts of energy draining emotions. when u hear the word love now, it may trigger you to feel more negative then positive because of these experiences. so love is different for everyone. that is obvious. but to me it is a word i have faith in. LOL if u know what i mean. but anyway since love, attraction, affection, are all different words so love is harder to explain scientifically. but if i were to define it. Love-1-strong affection 2-warm attachment 3-beloved person 4-feeling of affection. LOL websters new dictionary PG-198. love can be explain in infinite different ways. but if i sit here trying to explain how me myself and I feel about love ill be here for to long. so ill stop now. ![]() | love can be felt over the phone i believe. lol long distance relationships work dont they? words can make u feel love and spiritual connections. id like to think of love as magic. chaotic, destroying a persons logic and sense of control. liberating you from what seems to be so intricate and help you understand the simplicity of it.
