Innoculate Your Mind of Memes

Memes are viruses that come from words. Words that appear faint or harmless convert into numbers. High words produce high numbers. Conversely, low words produce low numbers. The human mind is as a computer. Same as computer contract viruses by virtue of corrupting numbers, so does the human mind.

The default setting of the human encephalon is set on low. How do we know? The designer left a manuscript for us to read and learn. Meme viruses come in the form of words (rhetoric, rumors, gossip, lies, deceit, or propaganda). These bacteria modify our natural default setting to toggle high. When memes achieve their objective they deceive the human encephalon to inject natural painkillers into our bloodstream. The euphoric side effects of our painkillers produce delusions of grandeur. They cause us to feel powerful or energize to oppose our natural state of existence. We began to hate things that cause us to feel low or weak and cherish those things that cause us to feel high or powerful. Our nature becomes heartless, cold and cruel towards our own brothers and sisters.

Our true power or strength lies in our natural default, instead of its modification. When we remain low our resistance is low. We can’t fight. We dare not rebel. Rather, we give in and become submissive and obedient. When obedience occurs then, the power that is from above commands our path. We move in synchronization to the beat pulsating from our heart. It is our heart that gives us life and resurrection as one mind, body and soul.

Re: Innoculate Your Mind of Memes

Well, I won't pretend to understand all of what you posted, but I do know a bit about memes. Memes aren't inherently bad things. You don't necessarily need to innoculate your mind against them. It is simply important for us to recognize their existence and know how to weed out the bad ones.

Ah, the noble savage.

Kaelcarp is right- memes are not inherently bad. They simply are. Some are good, and are required for one to live in society, some are bad for society, and bad for yourself.

Are you using Dawkin's meme concept?

Amen to Bumab. And the some of the best memes are good jokes. The kind that live in perpetuity. Were it not for those eternal jocularities, I could not have near as much fun sitting on the back deck puffing on cigars.

"I'd rather have a bottle in front o' me than a frontal lobotomy" should be an eternal meme.

___Biochemist said, ""I'd rather have a bottle in front o' me than a frontal lobotomy" should be an eternal meme."
___That's a great one for the quotes thread!
___Speaking of jokes, I said some terrible things when I was drunk last night, but I didn't really meme them.

Re: Innoculate Your Mind of Memes

Would someone please define a meme for me?

Is it a generally accepted view of the world or "truth"?
If so, is it wrong or right?

Is it a factoid?
