Re: weird thought on sexual drive

Hmmm... not one mention of feeling closer to one's partner, etc. I sense a lot of masterbaters in the bunch and WAY TMI in this thread!

Re: weird thought on sexual drive

The two different states of mind before and after sex can be explained by brain potential. The before and after define two different blood and cerebral spinal fluid potentials. Each potential will influence particular neuron firing sequences, which define the memory that is conscious. The desire tone focuses our minds or brain potential, which causes memories associated with the desire dynamics to become conscious. The whole brain is being used with a layer of memory tuned to the brain potential. After sex is over, the blood potential alters, which alters the brain potential. A new memory grid will then fire at this lower potential.

I feel an impulse to say "it takes one to know one" but I shall resist that impulse. Consider it unsaid.
However, in my own defense, I will say that humans are divided into two groups, those that have practiced auto-eroticism, and those that have deep-seated emotional/psychological issues. And I wish the latter all the best luck in the world.

IMHO, this is as far as this thread should go in that direction, if'n you catch my drift.

Re: weird thought on sexual drive

I gotta say that I only felt that weird duality thing before I was with Scott- perhaps something else important to note was that I was never capable of having an orgasm via intercourse before I was with Scott. So my version of duality might just have been my discomfort with my partner before I was with a partner I was truly comfortable with. I have heard of people who actually cry after sex and all kinds of weird things... good topic, orby But, I don't think that I experience the "up/down" thing... it feels good, and it feels good to lay there afterwords and either fall asleep together or creep to the shower together... one of the nice things about having been together for a long time, I guess, is that the sex gets better, in my opinion.

Could you explain why you feel that way Mr. EWright??.....................or maybe, it's because that's the same way you feel when you masturbate? Notice the spelling Mr. EWright. Are you actually going to try and convince us that you don't participate in this activity. So now that you have conveniently brought up the question of masturbation, I'll ask you bluntly, have you ever?????????And are you actually going to try to tell us that you have never.............and are you suggesting that there is something wrong with those that have??

Infy I agree with you... I'm a little tired of people insinuating that sex or masturbation is dirty or wrong, somehow or other. Sex is only wrong when it's forced on somebody, in my opinion. I'm sure there are some gray areas in there, too... but we're all products of sex. I don't think there are very many people on the planet who can say that haven't masturbated at some point or other in their life - women included. I've heard of places that teach that it's "wrong", too. How horrible! Why is it that people are so afraid of sex? If we didn't turn it into such a "dirty" topic, children wouldn't be so distraught over the topic. It's a huge peer pressure issue, and especially with masturbation - I would love for my children to learn how to do this thing rather than experiment with other people before they're emotionally ready to, or rather than risk getting an STD. Some places refuse to allow minors to buy condoms (or in my case, we had a place that came out and handed them out at our school - people protested!). This is something I can't figure out... you can't stop a teen from having sex if they really want to - so why not at least teach them to use contraception? If we are more comfortable with the topic, it would solve a lot of problems. I don't at all see anything nearing TMI so far in this thread!

I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with self-sex and I didn't mean to offend the masturbaters; I was simply making a scientific observation based on deductive reasoning. You go ahead and wackatack all you like. Oh, and can I maybe get a pinup picture of your avtar for my bedroom wall Infy?

I see that you've learned to spell masturbate Mr. EWright, good for you.

Actually Mr. EWright, I'm a happily married man so that is no longer necessary.

Re: weird thought on sexual drive

its better just to ignore people like mr. EWright
he just needs attention and even i'm giving it to him by posting this.
He is obiviously an instigator/"sh*t stirrer" if you notice the way he answered all your questions.
And the way you respond to what he says.
It's hard though, as humans we want to defend ourselves, and have the right to. And with this democracy and court and trials, we know we have that right, so we practice as much as we can because we're Innocent until proven guilty.
I'm glad to see we're all mature here
