He is obiviously an instigator/"sh*t stirrer" if you notice the way he answered all your questions.
And the way you respond to what he says.
It's hard though, as humans we want to defend ourselves, and have the right to. And with this democracy and court and trials, we know we have that right, so we practice as much as we can because we're Innocent until proven guilty.
I'm glad to see we're all mature here
Did your therapist help you come up with that one? Exactly what insecurities are you needing to justify/rationalize?

Actually Mr. EWright, I'm a happily married man so that is no longer necessary.

Actually Mr. EWight, I don't think my wife would approve. BTW, you spell it this way 'avatar'...........Infy

Darn it Infy, the good ones are always taken I do hope you realize good-natured fun when you see it... I mean, outside of the type of fun being discussed here

I don't think there are very many people on the planet who can say that haven't masturbated at some point or other in their life - women included... !
I not only agree with the poster, but wish that Doctor Koop and his Surgeon General successor had been able to keep this topic in the public forum. Masturbation is not "self abuse". What it is, is "self discovery". There are far too many folks who believe that if we could just NOT talk about it, not let our kids hear the word, pretend that "good" people don't do it, that it is a "perversion" unworthy even of discussion -- that it will go away.
It cannot go away.
I for one, think that teaching kids that natural self discovery is a "perversion" is an act of child abuse. You might as well teach them that urinating is a "perversion".

Re: weird thought on sexual drive

Actually the first time I did it, I didn't even know what I was doing it was just nice... I was about 7 or so. I still remember it because when I eventually discovered that it had a name etc. I got very proud that I found it by myself...was about 8 then...

Just what came into my mind reading pyro's post, to underline that a kid discovers all this things by himself so why making it a taboo?

I remember that I was thirteen the first time I did it. I happened to be at the Warm Springs Polio Center in Georgia at the time, having some surgeries and lots of therapy and training.

I didn't fully understand what had happened, but I do know that in my quest for a deeper understanding, I started repeating the experience several times a night. One Saturday, the cleaning crew came into the ward. I was the only kid in the room at the moment. This 50-ish woman stormed over to my bed with an armful of clean laundry and told me, point-blank, to "stop blowing your nose on the sheets!"

Hahahah

Re: weird thought on sexual drive

A right bunch of master debaters...

Let's test an old myth:

1) Do you masturbate?

2) Of those that answered 'yes' to 1,
a) Do you suffer from bad or deteriorating vision?
b) Do you shave your palms on a daily basis?

3) If you answered in the affirmative to any of these questions, you are without a doubt a bloody wanker.

yeah the same therapist that told me to stop slitting my wrist, the same therapist that i had to put a restraining order on because he tried to rape me while i was hypnotized. The same therapist that has completely ruined my life and now i can't comfortably masterbate without thinking of another man touching me and it makes me puke. Yeah, thanks EWright for bringing that back into my life, when i thought it was gone for good
