À part from that change is coming, eventually the Kyoto protocol is ratified by the neccessary % of the worlds surface, for example. Losing hope is no good, it's the last thing one has.

Sanctus,
I'm aware that efforts are being made, and some things "are" being
re-used and recycled. My point was about the difficulty of change.
When we have success in our individual lives, the endorphins flow
and we get that "feel good" factor. This helps us repeat the things
that are good for us. Just as when things go bad, you get the opposite,
so we don't repeat mistakes. We all like to do the things that make us
feel good. So, making changes in our lifestyle "habitual" may be harder
if there's no obvious reward. Harder still if we're giving up some benefit
or luxury.
My posts may seem negative but, I haven't lost hope. I know change
will come. It's just that the more each of us do now, the more can be
saved. We don't have to wait for governments to impose laws to make
a difference.
