Acting in a 2-dimensional space (XOY) we cannot measure time because time does not exist (this space is not related to time). But you can measure distance between two points A1(x1,y1), A2(x2,y2) if you define dist=sqrt((x1-x2)**2 + (y1-y2)**2)
