Discovery of UV from radioisotopes (radiochemicals)

The first experimental evidence on UV dominant optical spectrum from
radioisotopes as radiochemicals can be seen from the website
http://www.geocities.com/raomap/discovery2.html

UV, VIS and NIR intensities could be measured from each and every isotope tested using
a open photomultiplier tube (9635QB, THORN EMI) as a sensor and a pair of sheet polarizers.

Interestingly, the observed optical radiation is second generation of beta, gamma and X-ray emissions from radioisotopes.

The recent subatomic research provides first experimental evidence on fluorescent / atomic emission caused by beta, gamma or X-ray from within excited atoms of radioisotopes.

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.

We have been online since May 2000, and aim to be the best place to find and share science-related content of all kinds.
