| Resident Diabolist | EM-tensor...strong energy condition I have a stupid, I think at least, question on the energy-momentum tensor. What does the trace exactly mean? In the case of a perfect fluid we would have the trace being +3p i.e. the energy density plus 3 times the pressure. It is the total what? What does it imply if it is say zero? Thanks in advance for answering this, I think really basic, question! ---------------- Administrator A COUNTRY WITHOUT AN ARMY IS LIKE A FISH WITHOUT A BIKE!!!
