Invisibility?

Hi, Im new here.

Ive been looking around a lot lately at stuff like invisibility and force field kind of science fiction technology stuff, and I know theres new technology where things can be made invisible to radar and microwaves, but what about some sort of device that creates a field around something while vibrating the molecules inside it to the speed of light. If something like this was made, couldn't the particles or whatever is inside the vibrating field become invisible since they are vibrating faster than the eye can see?

I don't really know what Im talking about, but please share your ideas and/or objections on this.

Re: Invisibility?

Well even assuming that it would be possible to have a vibration at the speed of light I do not think this would make the thing inside invisible, just a little blurred and so that details are not seen...just like the wheels of a fast car: you can't see the inside of the wheel in detail but you see something grayish...

Re: Invisibility?

What you are describing is something similar to what a microwave oven does. It vibrates molecules, though not anywhere close to the speed of light. So I think what would happen as the field vibrated the molecules faster and faster, the thing would get so hot that it would melt, boil, and eventually turn into a gas. If it so happens that the gas is transparant, then you will have succeded in making the thing that was inside the field "invisible", but you will have destroyed whatever structure it may have had.

Plans for cloaking devices are actually already being develpoed by the British and US military so far only radar and microwave invisibility has been achieved but they are working on visiblie light invisibility.

weird huh ?

Actually NASA is looking into using a real force field to protect astronauts on the moon from positively charged particles from the sun. It consists of applying a very powerful positive charge to an object/base the positive charge repels positively charged particles. It is a real field of positive charge force.
