Magnetism

Question:

Is a magnetic field considered as an emission or is it considereed as something else?

care to discuss?

Emission, I hope not. That means my magnetic perpetual motion machine will have to be tested for emissions......

Re: Magnetism

magnetism (or more general: electromagnetism) can best be seen as a field. Putting a magnet in that field disturbs the field. So nothing is emitted in the classical sense. Quantum mechanical things are a bit more complicated...

Joe: care to tell us something about your perpetual motion machine?

Well. it was sort of a joke. but I have been working with magnets, steel, gravity, etc... for a while now. Not that I have a working PMM, but I think all I need is an external power source.....
