fermats last theorem.

a^(n)-b^(n)=c^(2)-d^(2) like
7^(3)-4^(3)=48^(2)-45^(2),
x^(n)=z^(2)-y^(2) like
3^(3)=14^(2)-13^(2),
from this information we can prove in an elementary and simple way that it is impossible to write
a^(n)-b^(n)=x^(n)
or
a^(n)=x^(n)+b^(n)
for n>2.

Re: fermats last theorem.

I don't follow you. How do we know that it's impossible for any a, x, and b from that?

Re: fermats last theorem.

We dont know that its impossible from just that, he is just saying that from that info you can proove it. And if you want any further information do a search of the site, it has been discussed a few times before

Re: fermats last theorem.

Actually, the other post in the news thread came a bit later. It should have had just a link to this thread to avoid the dupe, or we could delete this thread.
