Biochar and sutainable system design

I am here to brainstorm about biochar/terra petra and its potentials in sustainable system design. My interests revolve around sustainable system design in general--energy, agriculture, and residential construction. I live in rural Oregon with my wife and three children. I will be attending the 2008 IBI conference in Newcastle. Will there be anyone on here also attending?

A bunch of folks from the TP list / Yahoo group are going, a couple speaking,
give a call for a full report.
