One source of untapped resources that could help raise revenue for the public sector are campaign contributions could be taxed. Politicians are used to taxing and spending other people's hard earned money. It only makes sense that their hard earned money should fall under the same tax brackets as any other hard earned money.

Where I would treat this tax revenue differently is whereas politicians decide how to spend other people's money, on both good and useless things, the money collected from campaign contribution taxes will be spent via referendums. This gets more people involve in both giving and spending since some goes back to them.

All incomes up to $1 million each year are directly paid to the Federal government. Revenues are fairly apportioned according to social activism and political convenience, with automatic deductions for State services like insurance against all vicissitudes of life. A weekly stipend is credited to zero interest user bank accounts. Income taxation is automatic and errorless. Corruption and crime amidst little people are ended, for possession of illict value is mandatory punishable by confiscation plus 300% penalties (compensatory and treble punitive). No truly important person is unduly bothered, all persons are fairly treated. All necessities are provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused.

Who could object to the efficiencies of a level playing field?
