Money? I say it is how well people treat each other rich or poor, that makes for a better quality of life.

South Africa?
Here is a black mans opinion on South Africa:

There's no longer apartheid and there's black rule in South Africa, but what's the story there now?

Ya Gee what was I thinking?

It is just so crazy of me to believe that somehow the race of a community could have any bearing on there quality of life.

In the Los Angeles Jail system blacks and hispanics are seperated by race, do you agree with this policy?

L.A. County Jail in Lockdown After Race Riots

Most of the L.A. County Jail System Is in Lockdown After Riots Between Black and Hispanic Inmates

Most of Los Angeles County's jail system was on lockdown Monday after fighting broke out between blacks and Hispanics at two jails over the weekend. One inmate died in the fighting, and more than 100 others were injured.

Black and Hispanic inmates at the North County Correctional Facility were segregated Saturday after the fighting broke out among 1,800 to 2,000 inmates and a black inmate was killed. Craton said the inmates were still separated early Monday.

Normally, authorities can't segregate prisoners based on race or ethnicity, but legal advisers said it can be done in emergency situations, said Sam Jones, chief custody officer of the county jail system.

Are you saying that prison life can be used as an analogy for all of society?

No. I think jails are stupid. Punishment just motivates people how to get away with things, not to avoid doing them.

Let me ask again, though... How is this relevant to the current thread?

What I was "saying" was a question:
Why did you side step this question?

In the Los Angeles Jail system blacks and hispanics are seperated by race, do you agree with this policy?

Why would you copy my quote without the question I asked?

Watch me answer your question:

No, but prison life can be "used as an analogy for" some "of society".

Re: Utah: what happened?

This is Utah what happened?

Not LA County Jail what happened?

The best we can hope to do as Individuals is TRY and have a positive impact on those around us despite socio-ethnic-economic differences...

I think I should follow my own advice and stay the hell out of the way
bye-bye Utah ... I'll miss your high standard of living...

I was responding to TheBigDog question.

but to answer your question.

I guess, that the quality of life in the L.A Jails improved for hispanics and blacks once they were separated.

I am not sidestepping. I am asking for clarification. It helps me to answer your question.

Do me a favor J.B, start a new thread with the title of what you wish this discussion to be about. I will join in. I think this is a great discussion, but it needs to be its own topic. Together we can prevent Utah from becoming a prison state.

Thanks!

Bill
