Child abuse: Makeup, clothes, earings. Is it appropriate to teach or allow young girls to wear makeup, sexually provocative clothing or earrings? Is this an inappropriate sexualization of children?

Re: Child abuse: Makeup, clothes, earings. Depends on the circumstances, motivations, upbringing, and setting. There is no yes/no answer to this. It depends on the context.

I mean really - You have most of your life to be adult.
Enjoy childhood for the fun and innocence while learning.

We live in a world that fires Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders for advocating masturbation as sex alternative for minors and yet allows children to enter contests in makeup, heels, skin tight and revealing outfits.

Adults don't want their kids to have sex or even know about it. But they want to do it themselves. Worse, they want their kids to "virtually" engage in sexuality as if they were avatars for the parents. {shiver!!!}
I for one have never been comfortable watching child "beauty" contests. It is so obvious to me that they are child "sexuality" contests. I feel sorry for those kids.
