I have just now read that two substances inhibit Borna Virus. These are currently in the research stage, and go by the chemical names of: 1-beta-d-Arabinofuranosylcytosine and 2'-Fluoro-2'-Deoxycytidine. They both inhibit Borna Disease Virus replication and spread. You can find the published research studies just by searching in Google with the terms:

Arabinofuranosylcytosine + Borna, and: Deoxycytidine + Borna

Hopefully, these two drugs will be available soon.

Well, it appears that 1-beta-d-Arabinofuranosylcytosine inhibits DNA polymerase and produces S phase–specific cytotoxicity.

2'-Fluoro-2'-Deoxycytidine also inhibits RNA and protein levels. This chemical isn't as cytotoxic as Arabinofuranosylcytosine, and has also been used for HIV and Herpes.
