Feeling Radiation

What allows us to radiate feeling and sense it from a psychological point of view?

I have felt the presence of some one who wasn't there, or knew someone was in trouble when I had no means of gathering that information. I have experienced the feeling of someone being present that was long dead.

Are these feelings real or coincidence? I have no idea, i know of no way such information could be transfered. To really make this claim as truth you would first have to find some way of such information being gathered by your brain, other wise it has to written off as coincidence or a fluke. I know it certainly feels real when it happens but I have no concrete proof if it is or not.
