Thorazine is a seriously disabling pharmaceutical - I've seen what it does to people, I have direct experience, having been in such an institution.
There isn't anything funny about what it does, nor about serious psychiatric illness.

Nor is there anything funny about the essentially arcane and medieval way these people were treated back when I witnessed it first-hand. I was fortunate I suppose, since the head orderly was also an old schoolmate.
May I suggest you take your homilies elsewhere.

Yeah, may I also suggest that getting yourself admitted, might not be the greatest idea either; you could end up doing the thorazine shuffle.

Maybe I wasn't crazy enough for that (and I was able to flush the pills they gave me); I was a smart-ass.
So you are saying this was not humour? okay, then just an inappropriate comment then i am to assume

Advising someone against hospitalization and telling them it is okay to toss your meds, is not helpful
