Before there were the amount of privately owned cars on the roads, which exist now, did people report quite as often seeing the moon as a UFO? I wondered if it was a case of it being seen from a moving vehicle that caused this delusion or whether it was some kind of self-hypnosis.

Hypography?

Hypography [n.]: A combination of "hyperlink" and "bibliography" - ie, a list of links to electronic documents. Comparable to discography and bibliography, but not cartography.
