Global Warming Led To Atmospheric Hydrogen Sulfide And Permian Extinction
ScienceDaily (Mar. 1, 2005) — Washington, D.C. -– Volcanic eruptions in Siberia 251 million years ago may have started a cascade of events leading to high hydrogen sulfide levels in the oceans and atmosphere and precipitating the largest mass extinction in Earth’s history, according to a Penn State geoscientist.

Just a note to point out that there is good evidence that the Siberian eruptions resulted from shock waves delivered by antipodal focusing from a major space rock impact on the opposite side of the world. (300 km crater is in Antartica under ice) Using the phrase "global warming" to associate that event with today's conditions is not simply lipstick on a pig, it's a bad shade of lipstick and it's on a possum.
