Sorry if it's obvious, but I'm having a little trouble understanding when the lunar eclipse will occur on the east coast of america?

It will occur as soon as the moon rises above the horizon at sunset Orby.

I'm very excited, and hope it's not overcast this evening.

The full eclipse begins at 5:44 ET and ends at 6:57 ET. The following partial eclipse will be over around 9:23 ET.

P.S.

Sunset's not 'til around 6:30 so the view of the full eclipse will be short lived...
