Static Electricity

Hey guys,

Heres a weird question that I hope my old buddys here at Hypography can help me with.

What I want to do is build a small device that could automatically charge my body with a Static Electric Charge.

Kind of like being able to walk up to someone and shock them without the whole need for wooly socks and stuff.

Any ideas? Or Am I insane as usual?

Re: Static Electricity

Without regard to your mental state... You'd probably want to create a device that prevented you from discharging static electricity which had already built up until the point when you made contact with the individual you wish to shock (as opposed to a device which built up charge).

Cheers.

My dad tells tales of using a capacitor for such mischief.

Just take an average balloon and rub it on your head as you walk around with rubber sole shoes.

Or a little more costly would be a cattle prod.

Re: Static Electricity

Is there a way to rig a joy buzzer to do this?
