Minnesota: It is illegal to drive any motor vehicle that is red in color (this is a very old one that was on the books in the 1990s, not sure if it still is). ---------------- "Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents; it was loaned to you by your children. | Understanding | Re: Dumb Laws! I remember several years ago a couple, both married to other people, were arrested for adultery, while doing the deed in the back seat of a vehicle on a dirt road. The cop knew both of them. The law still remains on the books. The General Laws of Massachusetts PART IV. CRIMES, PUNISHMENTS AND PROCEEDINGS IN CRIMINAL CASES TITLE I. CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 272. CRIMES AGAINST CHASTITY, MORALITY, DECENCY AND GOOD ORDER Chapter 272: Section 14. Adultery Section 14. A married person who has sexual intercourse with a person not his spouse or an unmarried person who has sexual intercourse with a married person shall be guilty of adultery and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than three years or in jail for not more than two years or by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars. ---------------- "Those who forget to remember the past are condemned to repeat it", George Santayana Last edited by Freddy; 12-10-2006 at 05:08 PM.

There are way too many "best ones"! I chose New York at random and found these: Women may go topless in public, providing it is not being used as a business. It is illegal for a woman to be on the street wearing "body hugging clothing". Have they actually read these?!?!?!

| Exhausted Gondolier | Re: Dumb Laws! People have always been dumb, and...
In the early days of motorcarriages, many were terrified of the devillish new contraption. While horse drawn carriages were trotting around at smart paces and sometimes losing control and crashing, people were used to seeing them around. The Red Flag Act appeared in England, banning any motorcarriage from exceeding the speed of 4 mph, or 2 mph in urban places, and requiring them to always be preceded by a walking man holding a red coloured flag.
