Interviewing a Sociologist
I'm writing a paper a very basic paper on Sociology, and one of the required sources is an interview that can be done through e-mail. I figure this is just as good, as I don't exactly know any sociologists to e-mail.
Very simple questions (I literally know nothing about the subject); shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. Please don't bother if you don't at least have a sociology degree.
1. In your own words, what is sociology?
2. What are the different types of sociology?
3. Why sociology? What’s special about it? Why should I go into it as opposed to any other career?
4. What do you do as a sociologist? What sorts of jobs are there?
5. Is there a good job market? Is it easy or hard to find a job with a sociology degree?
6. How much money does a typical sociologist make?
7. What are the education requirements to obtain a sociology degree?
8. Is there a lot of technology (computer) use in the field?
9. Do you interact with a lot of different people, or do you typically work alone?
10. Do you learn something new every day?
Thanks to anyone to replies. It will be a huge help.
