| ___The surprising flash was not a surprise for a group of rouge scientists who believe comets aren't "dirty snowballs". The disputed model these scientists use explains many of the observed (& not observed) qualities & behaviors of comets by way of electric fields charging the solor system. ___I have heard James McCanney lecture before on radio; very interesting stuff well beyond my ability to deabte it. Here's his site: http://www.jmccanneyscience.com/ ___Here is a New Scientist article on the continuing mystery & debate on the topic of comets & Deep Impact.: http://www.wired.com/news/space/0,2697,68258,00.html __Any of you heard of this model? |
