![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mars Photos I'm not sure that this might not more properly be put in the "Strange Claims" forum, but here goes: First off, let me say that I am someone who is normally very skeptical of claims by people that they see proof of past Martian civilizations in images taken by the MGS or other craft.. As far as I'm concerned, the "face" and "pyramids" of Cydonia are just tricks of light on natural formations. Other images I have seen can just a easily be explained. That being said, I recently can across a Image of Mar's surface with features, I am at somewhat of a loss to explain. A section with straight lines layed out in a gird pattern. I am almost tempted to say that it looks like the ancient remains of part of a city. Does anyone have a good, or even possible, explanation for this? ![]() (the image is cropped to just the area of interest in order to save on file size) On top of that, there is this second image, with an apparently even more bizarre feature. I'll refrain from decribing it as I would rather that you first see it without any pre-concieved ideas; Here's a link to the second image: http://home.earthlink.net/~parvey/si...res/crater.gif
