 Questioning | Re: Prophesy Designs Have you guys considered an electromagnetic drive? like superconducting loops with their return path shielded. No on-board reaction mass need apply. Any reason why that shouldn't work? It seems the heliosphere is crammed with magnetic field and I guestimate at 1G average across its diameter you could reach 0.1c in 1 month  . The interstellar space probably has plenty of magnetism too, though I'm not sure if anyones been able to measure it.Last edited by silverslith; 05-11-2007 at 04:31 PM. | |
