I am grovelling in abject frumptitude. I do the dance of terminal humiliation.

I promised to go back and edit the story line. The two "aliens" become redshirts from our crew, and the voyage to Europa becomes a mere rescue mission when their surface module on Europa springs a leak and then they discover that their shuttle buggy has been damaged.

Now, I don't have the time. We have a new contract. Life has gotten extremely hectic and busy. You guys may not see much of me for a while, except for weekends.

Ok i just found this place so im gonna answer as much as i can in one post as i read through the ones concerning my character

1) A-hi, firstly: thanks jay i didnt have a clue this page even existed until 3 minutes ago, um any questions about 'my people' i may be able to answer.

B-Secondly i was just gonna wing it, if this interfears with the main plot too much or if it'll cause too much travesty feel free to kill me off, as i've said before i dont mind.

We want to "do" science on our Space Voyage #1, right? Yet, we can't seem to keep away from "plots", that are frankly uninteresting to some members. And I can understand that.

While making my last Space Voyage post, it suddenly occurred to me to PUT the SCIENCE into the plot with Links! As I described what I was seeing, I linked the story to websites with actual Science--the images, the descriptions, the explanations.

We can have both. Plot and Science, by generously sprinkling our posts with hard science links. We can make our voyage actually be a voyage of Scientific Discovery for everyone who reads it! Lurkers, noobies, everyone! I feel kinda stupid I didn't think of this earlier. Comments??? Reactions??? Anybody care???

Background of the alien(me)
I started out from my home planet about six months ago on a mission. Five months into the mission my ship was attacked by an enemy of our home planet and our long range communication system together with our main (ftl) engine was destroyed beyond recognition. Much of the crew were killed in the fight and the rest were killed when the life support system in 95% of the ship gave away. I happened to be in the 5% that had continued life support and survived. So I'm stranded some 400 light years from my home planet, with no way to contact them. I had put myself into stasis and set the mainframe to bring me out if there was a habitable planet nearby (within 0.2 light years) or a spaceship was close enough.

Plot
The mainframe brings me out of stasis after it sights your ship. And it has been running the "first contact decrypter" on all your communications to and from earth and has enough information to enable basic communication. I send a basic rescue message to your ship (in english). Then I set the navigation course to bring my ship near of yours(I still have booster rockets).
Then it depends on your rescue mission.

Let me know if this plot is acceptable

Really wish i had found this place ages ago, would have created better continuations, especialy in regards to my lovely alien friend, i may edit them to put allowances in my sub-plot.

As i said, description is from another story that i wrote and like the characters appearance, the way i thought it would be anyway
-as for the look, if i had a scanner i could paint it, but i don't so imagination will be needed,
- the language is solved by the Gersan, i have been using my own language with added translations until i'm rescued/killed off, the Gersan is also a universal translator
- and i really dont want to be a 'buddy reproducer' , i'm sixteen and my character is the equivelant on her world
- as for belief you can say and think what you want but to me being the only beings in the universe, advaned or primitive, is stupid because of the vastness of the aformentioned universe, the conditions that caused us to exist had to have happened somewhere else or it's just pointless and i don't like pointless/useless things, therefore i do believe in aliens

hair-mineral in our planets crust/soil and has then gone into the food which has went through many generations to turn our hair and natural fabrics from my home planet AMBER, not orange, i am picky when it comes to colour, very art orientated.

-wasen't planning on multiple extremities, was thinking different brain function so my race understands and can manipulate energy for telekineses and the like, but i have been told that's frowned upon

-breeding-as i have said breeding won't be an issue as i am not only a minor, but don't have a clue about biology

Your really from the orange sun Alpha Centauri B aren't you? I'm guessing if you are you're actually a billion years more advanced than us poor humans and you've probably taken on an anthopomorphic form and staged a damsel in distress scenario to gain the confidence of the Prophecy crew. It wouldn't surprize me if you've been protecting them with your force fields since they left earth orbit (infants like us humans need to be looked after).

Actually you've probably got that fully out of the way in a few nanoseconds and have full virtual models of their brains and bodies functioning within your conciousness.
Brown dwarfs are flare stars, though I guess if you evolved near one it may have been billions of years ago when it was much nicer, and you'd have left biology behind way back then.
