| Questioning | Re: Strange Fossils & Other Geologic Discontinuities Pareidolia is always lurking; people are attuned to seeing patterns and identifying them as everyday objects. As usual, there are many more references to this fossil and "footprint" that push the creationist agenda. Pseudoscience almost always attracts much more attention than real science. (When was the last time you found an astronomy column in your paper? - yet it seems every paper has an astrology column.) There are two good links from the perspective of scientific inquiry: A supposed human footprint from Antelope Springs (Nevada, USA) The "Meister Print" Here is one of many taking an untrained observation and using it to promote an agenda. GLEN ROSE AND ANTELOPE SPRINGS TRACKS This site also finds evidence of humans walking with dinosaurs. ---------------- 'Eternity is a very long time, especially towards the end.' I love pareidolia! Zion canyon Utah is downright full freakin' with profiles. I reread the article looking for another gem but the other stories (gold chain falling out of lump of coal) are far too anecdotal.
