If we can't accept those that are different to us on the Earth, like women, Gays, Coloured people, those of a different culture or belief, could this be the real reason aliens (if they exist) haven't landed on the White House lawn? Would you, if you saw the reception this planet gives those who don't conform, actually think it a good idea (safe) to openly mix with the natives?

If there are aliens visiting the Earth who can travel from star to star as often and as easily as UFO reports seem to indicate i don't think our actions to our selves would be any obstacle to them visiting if they wanted too. Their technology would have to be so advanced we would pose no danger to them at all.

I can tell that the person who wrote this quote understands little about psychology.

It is unfortunate that it is difficult for people to accept others are different in various ways. But that is only because our species is progressing so rapidly. We are coming to understand our behaviors and everything around us. That is why ignorance truly isn't bliss, because ignorance is what makes us potentially bad people. When we remain ignorant we rely on our intuition to guide us, and our intuition is a malfunctioning piece of crap in todays day in age.

You must understand why people make the mistakes they make, our intuition may have saved our life 10,000 years ago but today it is costing us social dominance. It is something we all must overcome and with time, a lot of time, our species will evolve to be more understanding of others naturally.
