IQ Puzzle

This is a good little puzzle.

Apparently it was an iq test involved at a job interview in japan.

Here are the rules:

1. Only 2 persons on the raft at a time

2. The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence

3. The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence

4. The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there

5. Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft

6. To move the people click on them.

7. To move the raft click on the pole on the opposite side of the river.

If it doesnt automatically start click on the Blue Circle to Start

I found the way to do it after few mins. I am sure most of you will to.

Re: IQ Puzzle

Cool little puzzle. My 9 year old digs it. My 3 year old likes likes watching them kick each other.

Re: IQ Puzzle

I was visiting a hospital yesterday. There are some women in the reception area acting as general guides for cases of confusion, they always seem to be happy and laughing. I wonder if there are any tests like the above but for assessing good-humouredness, whereby hospitals can be sure of employing suitable guides.

I wonder why a mother would hit her sons or the father his daughters...

Yup. I love puzzles like that, and so does my 9 year old. It was fun watching him reason through each step. (theBigDog's heart swells with pride...) If you find any others like it please post them!

Re: IQ Puzzle

Must say it took me a few goes - I first tried it the other night when it was late and I was tired, didn't think I was ever going to get it.

Must say it is quite accomodating of ... I guess I shouldn't say any more for those who still want to figure it out.

Re: IQ Puzzle

took me a while, but I eventually got it. I've done similair puzzles to this in school So, I kind of knew the routine. Except this puzzle was definatley more advanced than the versions that I have done in the past.

Re: IQ Puzzle

yah it was a bit of a doozy eh..

although, the rules got me a little off track, once I studied the rules more thoroughly I understood what could go and what couldnt, then it was just a matter of working with color coding groups
