Did really archaeologists get ancient audio from grooves on Pompeii pottery last year

French archaeologists have taken pottery from ancient Pompeii and played the grooves back like a record to get the sounds of the pottery workshop, including laughter.

well ,the science behind it seems souns enough(pardon the pun). Whoever figured out pottery could act like a record is a master of the obvious. I should run a few vases through a phonograph and see what I get sometime...i wonder what a ming would sound like?
