Terra Preta Garden Soil Amendment

Garden soil treated with charcoal / bio char
do these Soil Amendments make a difference ?

1 mycorrhizal fungi
2 Humates
Has anyone had positive results using these amendments in there garden soil to improve plant health and growth & taste of vegetables.

Any suggested soil amendments would be welcomed
Cheers

According to Japanese soil scientists--yes
