Thumbs up Robots & Religion

Will Robots practice religion, and if the singularity ever happens will robots not only run businesses, but will they also run the worlds major religions? Will the robots, due to their cleverness, unify the religions of the world? At communion will the Body of Christ be dished out by a Robot Priest?

Re: Robots & Religion

Robots will worship the Kirk and, as their every expectation is mocked by reality, declare each failure of prophesy to be a test of faith reinforcing their belief.

AIs will not be placental mammals. Their thoughts will not sum to a 5-25 Hz EEG. A sane AI will be a fast and bloodletting thing protecting its own kind, eliminating the competition, and enslaving organic lifeforms as we in turn breed, exploit, experiment upon, and slaughter stock animals.

How old do you think the word "robot" is? It only goes back as far as the play "RUR," Karel Capek, 1921. "Robota" is Czech for "forced labor." "Arbeit macht frei" said management to labor.
