![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Virgin Birth The Christian theology begins with a virgin pregnancy. The question becomes, is this scientifically possible? If one assumed it was true and tried to explain how it could be, here would be my line of reasoning. Humans normally reproduce when the female ovuum and the male sperm combine their DNA. During the preparation of an ovuum for conception, the DNA divides and each of these DNA's divide into half, with three quarters of the DNA being placed outside the ovuum. What is left behind are predominantly female genes within the remaining half of DNA within the ovuum. This implies that the peripheral DNA should contain some of the male DNA elements the mother obtained from her own conception. As such, if the ovuum somehow pulled the male complement DNA half back into itself, it would have full DNA and might start growing from there. The obvious problem with this theory is wouldn't the mother make a clone of herself? The answer is not necessarily. The first division of the ovuum DNA might be equal but dividing the doubled DNA into four half DNAs does not have to be indentical. The Ovuum is so much larger than its sister cell, such that her sister cell might half the DNA more uniformly instead of in a slanted fashion like the ovuum. |
