Ummm... How do I become a Hypography mod or admin because I'm new. smartypant

I've only just joined somewhere in December 2006 and I don't understand many things for instance how to become a Moderator or Administrator on Hypography. So please explain to me how this works and when you can change your user level like admins and mods can because I was told by an admin...

Also, I don't remember who said this, post count is not all too important to become a mod, I guess there is a third of the members here who have more posts than I do....

Anyway Chacmool... sorry for the thing about me mixing you up as an admin and a mod.
By the way, just out of curiosity, what IS the difference between a Moderator and an Administrator???:really confused:

it's not the number of posts that counts I was an admin with less than 1000 posts.
As to the difference i a few wordsan admin can do everything (access to everywhere...even beyond the realms of virtuality ) while a mod has more restricted option, he/she can for example ban only in the forum they moderate...

Wow! A self made man, huh? I'm impressed.
It's my experience that admin are usually the forum owner or those there from the inception, this forum should be congratulated on it's lesser dictatorship approach to this.

Tormod owns the site. Of the current admins, only GAHD, Sanctus, and Tormod were admins when I joined, all the others (Buffy, C1ay, Killean, and myself) were promoted from user, to mod, to admin.
