Re: Guide to get into university? Kick butt on any standardized tests and try to get into the very top percentiles. Do lots of extracurricular work, and volunteer... teach... that sort of thing looks really good. Go speak to the registrars directly. Let them get to know your face. Bring them chocolate! Get on their good side, and try to get some insider information... hints/tips and the like.Play up your strong points, and play down your weaknesses (i.e. don't adverstise too willingly, unless asked directly, that you failed physics... that sort of thing). Off the top of my head, that's all I've got. That, and well wishes. ![]() Good luck arkain! ![]()

Re: Guide to get into university? i don't know about Canada, but in US i find it is much easier and helpful when you go through community college just for 2 yrs and then transfer to good university as junior. to get into any good university, just finish their basic requirements with at least B. DO some extra activity in your field and you should be set to go on. FYI: In US most universities take more transfer students then right out of high school. I am currently a community college student in California. Getting B or better in all required course and doing some volunteer work, i have locked my future in any UC system that i want.

Re: Guide to get into university? Down here in Oz anyone over 21 who wants to go to uni can sit a Special Tertiary Admissions Test, regardless of how well they did at school. There are practice questions and workshops available so people can prepare for it. Do you have anything like that over there?
